Waking up to this beautiful Sunday after enjoying not one but two great nights in a row. Definitely feeling a bit tired but it was well worth it!
On Friday I attended to Fullsteam's 15th anniversary party that took place in Allas Sea Pool at Katajanokka. This was the first time for me at Allas Sea Pool as I finally decided to have a full weekend off and a really good reason to check out the place - The Sounds was playing, which has been one of my favorite bands during the years, especially at the time I lived in Tampere. I don't know why but those Tampere years were my most rock n' roll years to this day, but in general rock n' roll for me is a lifestyle and a state of mind and I've learned that musically I live in different time periods. In that way this was a nostalgy trip for me!
I really liked Allas Sea Pool as a venue for live shows. It's not a huge space, but definitely big enough and the best part of course is that it's by the sea where you can enjoy beautiful sunsets while experiencing live music. What I didn't actually appreciate was that I had to spend the first 30 minutes queuing to toilets and if I haven't been so excited for the show that would have been a mood killer for me. When you attend to live shows, festivals and such it's important that these kinda things do not decrease the value of the whole experience, at least for me.
But yeah the gig was great, Maja Ivarsson nailed it as usual, and Allas Sea Pool is a great venue! I will absolutely go to see more live shows and attending to other events to Allas Sea Pool! And last but not least many thanks to Fullsteam for having me!
