About a month ago I was lucky enough to be around for this music video shoot of ODE's newest single called 25h - featured by Kube. Lucky that I got invited, as one of my goals is to to be able to work with not just variety of talented and creative people but also in music business. For quite some time I have visualized myself taking my stylist and visual skills to the music scene and not just with he still photos I take and this was literally my very first step to that direction.
Oh but let me be more correct. During the first time I was there I only watched and helped with the cleaning after the scene was done. But at that time we talked about me creating the style to one of the scenes, more specifically a look to this so called "cyberpunk assassin femme fatale"character. After a week or so I was styling this gorgeous girl called Vy in the scene, who was just a perfect choise for this character by the way - and I absolutely loved every moment of it. It was one of those moments where I felt completely at home, alive, and I've had those moments more and more nowadays as I have been able to work more with new projects.
I tend to (sometimes) offer my services to the people I already know but like my sister once told me, - a wise woman as she is, that the people closest to me don't usually see or get my vision or value the things I do. Therefore it was not surprising at all to get my very first chance working with a music video from someone I haven't ever met before.
Huge thanks again to ODE and the director Jesse Ekholm for this opportunity, and I can't wait to work with you guys some more! And peeps check out the video and song, it's absolutely SUPER!
P.S. Though I'm not personally that deep into the hip hip and rap music, I must recommend you experiencing ODE live. I saw his show last week at Henry's pub and I was hooked!
